Blessing of the Pets

In honor of the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi Our Lady of the Snows will hold a Blessing of the Pets on Oct. 5^th at 10 AM.

To ensure the safety of everyone and their animals we are inviting well-behaved animals that are comfortable around other humans and animals to the steps of Our Lady of the Snows Church for a blessing. Animals may either be on a leash if well trained or in carriers.
While all creatures of God are loved and cherished we are asking those that have 8-legged friends and scaled buddies to keep them at home for everyone’s comfort especially Fr. Bob. Additionally if your friend happens to be feral or a wild animal such as a bobcat, barn cat, or skunk this may not be the environment that would be conducive to their temperament or safety.

If you have a large companion that requires a trailer for towing please make sure any trailers do not block the road or neighbor’s home access.

If you have any other questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact us. If you are reading this and think hmm my animal may be stressed, or not fit the requirements you are welcome to bring a picture of your animal friend and receive a blessing for them in their absence.
